4 U.S Presidents, 5 animation studios, 17 seasons, and 378 episodes later, China has decided to ban The Simpsons. Before you get all bent out of shape, they haven't decided to completely ban it from showing, just from 5 pm - 8pm.

In a study performed by an independent group, they found that 80% of Chinese children liked foreign animation, but disliked domestic cartoons. So it's just an effort to defend their suffering animation studios? China, are you telling me that you are banning one of the most popular cartoons in the history of T.V not for political reasons, but because you just can't produce something decent to appeal to your own children. If a show like Blue's Clues can outperform all of your cartoons, I don't think a mere ban of The Simpsons is going to solve anything, you have MUCH bigger problems.
